The single was recorded during the lockdown following the Coronavirus pandemic and it features Steve Christie on piano and double bass and Joe Pickering on drums. My vocal and trumpet part was recorded in my home recording studio in Somerset and the other two gentlemen recorded their parts at Vintage Keys Studios in Romsey, near Southampton. Steve Christie, an alumni of Air Studios and associate with the late, great George Martin was in charge of mixing the musical backing for this single.

The song was written originally by Burton Lane and Ralph Freed for a musical film called "Babes On Broadway", in 1941. Since then, it has emerged into a classic jazz standard and now sits rightfully in the pages of the Great American Songbook. To give my personal spin on this song, I changed some of the lyrics to give a nod to one of my favourite singers, Ella Fitzgerald and I even wrote a new chorus entirely, which aims to cater to listeners of all all ages and backgrounds.
